Sergeant Joe Friday of TV show Dragnet always asked for the Facts, Just the Facts. Finding the facts in ones life often requires much mining into the depths of who we are. Another way to look at this is that we are peeling the onion of our life, bringing to our awareness, one layer at a time, just what those facts are that make up our root or core issues.  These are issues that have driven our lives into recovery seeking help for and release from various ISMS (internal spiritual maladies) that are the core of our struggles.  Reading the literature and writing answers to questions become key tools in our recovery.  They are good ways of getting out of our own mind!  Ideas within our mind are easy prey to our ego, but when written down, we can see more easily what we are really saying to ourselves. It is by writing about these ideas that we avoid the insanity of repeating the same old tired thinking, while always expecting different results. ~ John Aldon Utz

I believe deliverance begins with questions. It begins with people who love questions, people who live with questions and by questions, people who feel a deep joy when good questions are asked. When we meet these people, some living, and some through history and art, things begin to change. ~David Dark, The Sacredness of Questioning Everything

"The important thing is never to stop questioning."  ~Albert Einstein, Never Quit

“We must be content to grow slowly. Most of us will still barely be at the beginning of our recovery by the time we die. But that is better than killing ourselves pretending to be healthy.”   ~Simon Tugwell

“I believe in recovery, and as a role model I have the responsibility to let young people know that you can make a mistake and come back from it.”  ~Ann Richards

This website is built to give glimpses into how I "peeled back the onion" of my life, layer by layer, one day at a time by answering a question each day. The questions came from my working a 12 Step Program Compulsive Eaters Anonymous HOW. Each question answered brings me closer to recovering from the things that have made me sick mentally, emotionally and spiritually, with self abasement and eating compulsively being two of those things.

You are invited to follow my journey,

and hopefully benefit from some questions I have answered,

perhaps gaining some insights which are useful in your life.

I will not even attempt to show all the questions I have written, just some key ones. There would be more than 1700 questions written in my 4 years and over 8 months of abstinence from sugar, flour and quantities through working the CEA-HOW program.
